Acne & Breakouts

Breakouts that keep showing up.

You wash, you moisturise, you try the new thing everyone swears by, and the breakouts still show up right when you don't want them. Congestion across the chin, bumps along the jaw, the odd flare on your back. You're so not alone, and there's a lot we can do to help calm things down and keep skin clearer for most people, gently and over time.

CONCERN & CAUSES

Why Breakouts Keep Happening

Acne isn't about being unclean. It's usually a mix of oil, dead skin, bacteria, and hormones all stacking up at once. When you understand what's driving yours, it gets a lot easier to manage. Here's a quick, honest look at the usual culprits.

01

Clogged Pores & Oil

When extra oil mixes with dead skin cells, pores get blocked and you see blackheads, whiteheads, and little bumps. Clearing that congestion gently is the first step for most people.

02

Hormonal Flares

Cycle changes, stress, and life in general can ramp up oil and trigger breakouts along the jaw and chin. It's incredibly common, and it can usually be managed even if it can't be switched off.

03

Bacteria & Inflammation

Once a pore is blocked, bacteria can move in and the area gets red, sore, and angry. Calming that inflammation is a big part of helping skin settle for a lot of people.

04

Backne & Body Breakouts

Breakouts on the back, shoulders, and chest are super common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Sweat, friction, and trapped oil all play a part, and they respond to a focused approach.

Treatment Benefits

Gentle options to calm breakouts in Innisfil

There's no single fix for acne, so we don't pretend there is. Your provider looks at your skin first, figures out what's actually driving your breakouts, then maps a plan that fits. We're not a dermatology prescription service, but we have some genuinely lovely in-clinic options to help calm congestion and manage flares for most people. No pressure, just real talk.

Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

A clinical-grade peel that exfoliates the upper layers to clear congestion, refine pores, and help skin turn over more evenly.

How to keep breakouts calmer at home

In-clinic treatments do a lot of the heavy lifting, but what you do at home holds the results. These simple habits keep your barrier happy and help skin stay clearer between visits for most people. Nothing aggressive, just consistent.

Cleanse Gently

Cleanse Gently

Use a gentle, non-stripping cleanser morning and night with lukewarm water. Scrubbing hard or over-washing can actually wind breakouts up, so keep it kind.

Don't Pick

Don't Pick

We know it's tempting, but picking and squeezing can push things deeper and leave marks behind. Let your treatments and skincare do the work instead, and let us handle extractions.

Hydrate, Don't Strip

Hydrate, Don't Strip

Oily, breakout-prone skin still needs moisture. A light, non-comedogenic moisturiser keeps your barrier strong, which actually helps skin behave better over time.

Keep It Consistent

Keep It Consistent

Once your skin settles, a gentle medical-grade retinol can support clearer skin and the same turnover we start in clinic. Build it in slowly and stay consistent rather than aggressive.

Protect Daily

Protect Daily

Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day is a non-negotiable, especially after peels. Sun on breaking-out or healing skin can darken marks and slow your progress.

FAQ

Common questions about
acne and breakouts

We'll always be honest with you here. We're not a dermatology prescription service, so we don't promise to cure acne. What we can do is help calm and manage breakouts with in-clinic treatments and a good routine, and for most people that makes a real, visible difference. Results vary, so we'll talk through what's realistic for your skin first.

It depends on what's driving yours, which is exactly what your provider checks at your consult. For a lot of people it's a combination, like a peel or facial to clear congestion plus LED to calm inflammation. If it's backne, we'd look at back restoration. We'll map it out together.

If your acne is severe, cystic, or scarring, a medical doctor or dermatologist may be the right call, and we'll happily tell you that. Our treatments are a lovely fit for mild to moderate breakouts and congestion, and they can sit alongside medical care too. No pressure either way.

It depends on the treatment. Facials and LED have little to no downtime, while a peel can leave skin a touch pink or flaky for a few days. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect so you can plan around it, and daily SPF afterward is a must.

Absolutely, and it's nothing to feel awkward about. Backne is super common. Our back restoration treatment is built to deep cleanse and calm breakouts across the back, shoulders, and chest, gently and with zero judgment.

Some people feel a fresher, calmer result after one facial or peel, but clearer skin really builds over a series and a consistent routine. We'll check in along the way and tweak things so you keep tracking nicely. Results vary from person to person.
