What LED Light Therapy can help with

Here's where it shines

breakouts and blemish prone skin

Breakouts and blemish-prone skin

If you're dealing with the odd breakout or congested skin, a gentle light session can be a calming part of your routine. It's soothing, not harsh.

Treatments+

We use specific LED wavelengths that can support clearer-looking skin for many people. It works nicely alongside your at-home routine and other in-clinic treatments.

Causes+

Hormones, stress, and clogged pores all play a part in breakouts. Skin that's working overtime can stay a little reactive and inflamed.

Why clients choose us

Real care from a team that gets it

At Real Beauty Rx, you're looked after by an experienced team of injectors, nurses, and aestheticians who genuinely care about how you feel, not just how you look. Warm, honest, and zero judgment, every single visit.

Your treatment is performed by Natasha Grbesa, our Clinic Lead and Medical Aesthetician, with medical oversight from Jennifer Holman, NP. Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner and Chair of APANS with over 14 years in medicine. We keep it gentle, explain as we go, and never rush you.

We take a proper look at your skin and what it needs before anything's planned, so LED fits into a routine that actually makes sense for you. All treatments follow Ontario's medical oversight rules.

Our whole vibe is subtle and supportive. We want your skin to look fresh and feel comfortable, while still looking completely like you.

What the Beauty Club says

A few words from our Innisfil and Barrie clients.

Natasha has completely mastered the art of combining a results-driven medical treatment without sacrificing the relaxation of a traditional facial treatment. Instead of just waiting around during masks or product activations, she uses that time to melt away every ounce of tension you are holding by adding scalp and shoulder massages. I left with glowing, deeply treated skin and my mind and body super relaxed.

Good questions

Your LED Light Therapy questions,

Everything you might be wondering before your first visit. Still curious about something? Just ask us.

Not at all. It's one of the gentlest things we do. You just lie back and relax for about 15-20 minutes while the light gently warms your skin. Most of our clients say it's the most relaxing part of their visit.

LED Light Therapy is an easy add-on to your visit, priced on our Jane menu. We'll always confirm pricing before we start, and Beauty Club members get member pricing. Book a consult and we'll map out a plan that fits your skin and your budget.

About 15-20 minutes for the light portion. You'll relax comfortably the whole time, and because there's no downtime, you can head right back to your day afterwards, makeup and all.

Nope, none at all. That's one of the best things about LED. You can come in on a lunch break or add it onto another treatment and carry on with your day straight after. We'll just remind you to keep up your SPF.

LED works best as a series rather than a one-off, because the benefits tend to build with consistency for most people. We'll suggest a cadence that suits your skin and your goals at your consult, with no pressure to commit to more than feels right.

Some people notice their skin looking a touch fresher within a week or two, but LED is gentle and gradual, so the nicest results tend to show up over a series of sessions. Results vary, which is why we check in with you along the way.

Absolutely, and a lot of people do. LED is a lovely add-on after treatments like microneedling or a facial because it can support a calmer, more comfortable recovery for many people. We'll talk through what pairs well for you.

LED uses specific wavelengths of light to gently support your skin. Different colours target different things, like clarity or a calmer, fresher look. We'll explain exactly what we're using and why at your visit, in plain language.

LED has been used in skincare for many years and is a gentle, low-risk treatment when it's done by a trained team. We review your skin history first, use protective eyewear, and work under the medical oversight Ontario requires. We'll go over any questions at your consult.

Yep. There's no downtime, so you can pop your makeup back on and carry on with your day right away. We'll just make sure you've got your SPF on before you head out the door.

For a lot of people, the right LED wavelengths can be a helpful, soothing part of a routine for blemish-prone skin. It's not a standalone fix for everyone, and it works best alongside good at-home care and other in-clinic treatments. We'll be honest about what's realistic for you.

It often is. LED is gentle and barrier-friendly, so for many people it's a comfortable way to look after reactive or easily-irritated skin without anything aggressive. We'll always check in on how your skin's feeling and adjust as needed.

Not really. Just come with clean, product-free skin if you can, and we'll cleanse you anyway before the session. If you're using any strong actives at home, let us know at your consult so we can plan around them.

It's always best to chat with us and your own doctor first if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. We'll review your situation at your consult and only go ahead if it's the right call for you. Your comfort and safety come first, every time.

We do! Our clinic is in Innisfil, right between Barrie and the rest of Simcoe County, so we see lots of clients from Barrie, Bradford, and beyond. Easy to get to, free parking, and a warm welcome every time.

You're so welcome here. LED is honestly one of the easiest, gentlest treatments to start with, so it's a lovely first step. We take it slow, explain everything, answer every question, and only start when you feel ready. No judgment, ever.

LED is one of the gentlest things we offer, but a few people should clear it with a doctor first. If you take a medication that makes you sensitive to light, such as certain antibiotics or acne pills, or if you have a light-sensitive condition like lupus, please tell us so we can confirm it is safe for you. We also ask about light-triggered seizures and any concerns in the area we would be treating. It is a quick conversation and worth having.

There is no real downtime. The light is warm and comfortable, and most people simply relax through it. Now and then someone notices faint redness or mild warmth right after, and that fades quickly. If you are on a medication that increases light sensitivity and you notice any rash, lasting redness, or unusual heat afterward, give us a call and we will adjust your plan.
