What lip filler can help with

Here's where it shines

thin or flat lips

Thin or flat lips

If your lips feel a little flat or thin, a touch of filler can add soft volume so they look fuller while still looking like you. We always start subtle.

Treatments+

We place a hyaluronic acid filler in small amounts to add gentle volume. For most people that means a softer, fuller look that settles over a week or two.

Causes+

Some of us are just born with thinner lips, and lips can also lose a little fullness as we get older. Both are totally normal.

Right after

Day 1 · a little swelling

The visit takes about 30-45 minutes. Some swelling, tenderness, or a little bruising is normal at first and usually eases over a few days. You can head back to your day, just keep things gentle.

Lips settle

Week 1-2 · the real result

Over the first week or two the swelling fades and your lips settle into their soft, natural shape. A lot of people feel like this is when their result really comes together. How it looks can vary from person to person.

Time to refresh

Month 6-12 · gradual fade

Hyaluronic acid lip filler typically lasts around 6 to 12 months and fades gradually for most people. A lot of our clients come back for a little refresh before it fully wears off so the look stays consistent.

Real care from a team that gets it

At Real Beauty Rx, you're looked after by an experienced team of injectors, nurses, and aestheticians who genuinely care about how you feel, not just how you look. Warm, honest, and zero judgment, every single visit.

Your treatment is performed by Jennifer Holman, NP, our owner and a Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years in medicine. You may also be cared for by our aesthetic nurse injector Lia Harding, RN. We keep it gentle, explain as we go, and never rush you.

We look at your natural lip shape and proportions before anything's planned, so your treatment is built around you. All treatments follow Ontario's medical oversight rules.

Our whole vibe is subtle. We want your lips to look soft, balanced, and refreshed, while still looking completely like you.

Real Beauty Rx reviews

What the Beauty Club says

A few words from our Innisfil and Barrie clients.

Natasha has completely mastered the art of combining a results-driven medical treatment without sacrificing the relaxation of a traditional facial treatment. Instead of just waiting around during masks or product activations, she uses that time to melt away every ounce of tension you are holding by adding scalp and shoulder massages. I left with glowing, deeply treated skin and my mind and body super relaxed.

Good questions

Your lip filler questions,
answered

Everything you might be wondering before your first visit. Still curious about something? Just ask us.

Honestly, it's pretty manageable. We use a numbing cream first to keep you comfy, and the filler we use has a little numbing agent in it too. Most of our clients say it's way easier than they built it up in their head. If you're nervous, just tell us and we'll take it slow.

You'll see some volume right away, but there's usually a little swelling at first. For most people the lips settle into their soft, natural final look over about 1 to 2 weeks. Results vary, which is why we check in with you along the way.

For most people, hyaluronic acid lip filler lasts around 6 to 12 months and fades gradually. A lot of our clients rebook for a little refresh before it fully wears off so their look stays soft and consistent. We'll talk through timing that works for you at every visit.

That's our whole thing. We start conservatively, build in small amounts, and check the shape with you as we go. The goal is soft, balanced lips that still look completely like you, for most people, never puffy or overdone. We'll be honest about what's realistic at your consult.

Mini is a smaller, more subtle treatment, great for a little hydration, a soft refresh, or a first-timer who wants to start small. Full uses a bit more product for more noticeable volume and shape. Your provider will recommend the right one for your goals at your consult.

Our lip dermal filler treatment is priced on our Jane menu. Your exact plan depends on whether you go mini or full and what you're hoping for, so we'll confirm everything at your consult before we start. Beauty Club members get member pricing, and we bill transparently.

Not much. You can usually head right back to your day. We just ask you to skip intense workouts, alcohol, and heat for about 24 hours. A little swelling, tenderness, or bruising is normal for a few days while your lips settle.

Some swelling is totally normal for the first few days, and it's often most noticeable on day one or two. It eases as your lips settle. We'll show you how to ice gently and what to expect, so there are no surprises.

We use a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, which is a soft, naturally-derived gel that your body already makes a version of. We'll tell you exactly what we're using at your visit, and our team reviews your health history and any allergies before anything is planned.

Yes, and that's one of the nice things about hyaluronic acid filler. If you ever want to adjust or remove it, it can be dissolved with a separate treatment. We'll always talk through your options with you, no pressure.

Hyaluronic acid fillers have been used safely for many years when they're placed by trained professionals. Our team assesses you first, uses a Health Canada-approved product, and works under the medical oversight Ontario requires. We'll go over the details and any questions at your consult.

Often, yes. Lots of our clients pair lip filler with other treatments for a balanced result. We'll map out what makes sense for you and the right order to do things, with no pressure to add anything you don't want.

A few simple things help. We usually suggest avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for a day or two beforehand if you can, since that may help reduce bruising for some people. Come with clean lips and any questions, and we'll handle the rest.

You're so welcome here. A ton of our lip filler clients are first-timers. We take it slow, explain everything, answer every question, and only start when you feel ready. Starting mini is a lovely way to ease in. No judgment, ever.

We do! Our clinic is in Innisfil, right between Barrie and the rest of Simcoe County, so we see lots of clients from Barrie, Bradford, and beyond. Easy to get to, free parking, and a warm welcome every time.

Easy. Book a no-pressure consult and we'll chat through your goals, look at your natural shape, and map out a clear plan with pricing in writing. You're never committed to anything just by coming in for a chat.

Yes, and we go through this with you before we ever treat. It is best to wait or skip filler if you have an active breakout, cold sore, rash, or any infection right where we would inject, since we want the skin calm and healthy first. Please tell us if you have had a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) in the past, if you are allergic to lidocaine, or if you have a bleeding condition, because these mean filler may not be right for you. If you take blood thinners or supplements like fish oil, let us know, since we may adjust timing to lower your chance of bruising. We also usually wait if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. None of this is a problem to bring up. It just helps us keep you safe and get you a nice result.

Most side effects are mild and settle on their own. It is normal to have some swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or small bumps at the injection site for a few days, and lips can stay puffy a little longer. There are rare but serious risks we want you to know about honestly. The one we watch most closely is a blocked blood vessel, which can happen if filler affects blood flow. The warning signs are unusual, strong, or increasing pain, skin that turns pale or blotchy or dusky, or any change in your vision. If you ever notice those signs, whether you are still with us or already home, contact us right away or seek urgent care, because acting quickly matters a lot. Rarely, people can also get an infection or firm lumps that show up weeks later, and we are always here to check anything that does not feel right.
