What sclerotherapy can help with

Here's where it shines

spider veins on the legs

Spider veins on the legs

Sclerotherapy is made for exactly this. For most people, the treated veins can fade gradually over the weeks that follow.

Treatments+

We place a small amount of solution right into the vein so it can gently close and fade over time. Results vary, and most people need a series of visits to see the full effect.

Causes+

Spider veins often come down to genetics, hormones, pregnancy, or a lot of time on your feet. They're really common and so not your fault.

Why clients choose us

Real care from a team that gets it

At Real Beauty Rx, you're looked after by an experienced team of injectors, nurses, and aestheticians who genuinely care about how you feel, not just how you look. Warm, honest, and zero judgment, every single visit.

Your treatment is performed by Jennifer Holman, NP, our owner and a Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years in medicine. She is a Key Opinion Leader for Galderma and Xcite Technologies, Chair of APANS, a lead injector-trainer for THMA, and known for her ultrasound-guided, full-face approach. You may also be cared for by our aesthetic nurse injector Lia Harding, RN. We keep it gentle, explain as we go, and never rush you.

We look closely at your veins and check that sclerotherapy is the right fit before anything's planned, so your treatment is built around you. All treatments follow Ontario's medical oversight rules.

We'll always be straight with you about how many sessions it might take and what's realistic. Results vary, and we'd rather set the right expectations than overpromise.

What the Beauty Club says

A few words from our Innisfil and Barrie clients.

Natasha has completely mastered the art of combining a results-driven medical treatment without sacrificing the relaxation of a traditional facial treatment. Instead of just waiting around during masks or product activations, she uses that time to melt away every ounce of tension you are holding by adding scalp and shoulder massages. I left with glowing, deeply treated skin and my mind and body super relaxed.

Everything you might be wondering before your first visit. Still curious about something? Just ask us.

For most people, not much. It's a small pinch as we place the solution into each vein, and a session takes about 30 minutes. Some people feel a brief sting or cramp as it works, which usually passes quickly. If you're nervous, just tell us and we'll keep you comfortable.

The treated veins can start to fade over the following few weeks for most people, as your body gradually clears them. Some veins respond faster than others, and results vary. We'll check in along the way to see how things are settling.

Most people need a series of sessions to get the best result, often spaced a few weeks apart. The exact number depends on how many veins you have and how they respond. We'll give you an honest estimate at your consult and adjust as we go.

Sclerotherapy for superficial spider veins is priced per session on our Jane menu. Because most people need a series, we'll talk through how many sessions might suit you and give you a clear plan at your consult. Beauty Club members get member pricing.

Sclerotherapy has been used for many years to treat spider veins when it's done by trained professionals. Our team assesses you first, reviews your health history, and works under the medical oversight Ontario requires. We'll go over the details and any questions at your consult.

Not much. You can usually head right back to your day. We'll likely ask you to wear compression, keep moving with light walking, and skip intense exercise, saunas, and long sunbathing for a day or two so the treated veins can settle.

Sclerotherapy treats the veins you have now, and those treated veins can fade long-term for many people. New spider veins can still appear over time, though, because the same tendencies remain. A lot of our clients come back for the occasional touch-up.

Sclerotherapy is for superficial spider veins on the legs. For tiny broken capillaries and redness on the face, IPL is usually the better-suited option. At your consult we'll look at where your veins are and point you toward the right treatment.

Some redness, small bruising, or a bit of tenderness at the treated spots is normal and tends to settle over the following days. Occasionally the treated veins can look a little darker before they fade. We'll go over exactly what to expect so nothing catches you off guard.

Usually, yes. Compression stockings can help the treated veins settle and support a better result for many people. We'll let you know how long to wear them and answer any questions about how it all works at your visit.

It isn't right for everyone. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, have certain circulation conditions, or have larger varicose veins, we may suggest a different approach or a referral. That's exactly why we assess you first, so we can be honest about the right fit.

Often, yes. Some clients pair sclerotherapy with other skin treatments for an overall result they love. We'll map out what makes sense for you and the right order to do things, with no pressure to add anything you don't want.

We use a medical sclerosing solution designed to gently close superficial veins so they can fade. Our team reviews your health history and any allergies before anything is planned, and we'll tell you exactly what we're using at your visit.

Most people heal well with no lasting marks. Temporary bruising or a bit of darkening at the treated spots can happen and usually fades over the following weeks. We'll talk through how to support healing and what's normal as you go.

We do! Our clinic is in Innisfil, right between Barrie and the rest of Simcoe County, so we see lots of clients from Barrie, Bradford, and beyond. Easy to get to, free parking, and a warm welcome every time.

You're so welcome here. Plenty of our sclerotherapy clients are first-timers. We take it slow, explain everything, answer every question, and only start when you feel ready. No judgment, ever.

This treatment is not for everyone, and safety comes first. We do not treat you if you are pregnant, if you have an active blood clot, or if you are allergic to the solution we use. We also need your full history if you have ever had a DVT or a clotting disorder, or if you are going to be immobile for a stretch, such as after surgery or a long flight, because those raise the risk of complications. Bring all of this to your consultation so we can decide together whether the timing is right.

It is very common to have bruising, mild aching, itching, or brownish lines and discoloration along the treated veins, and most of this fades over weeks to months. Some people also see fine new vessels appear, called matting, which usually settles on its own. We will have you walk and may fit compression to help. Please call us right away if you have trouble breathing, chest tightness, or swelling and pain in the leg, or if the skin at an injection site develops a sore or ulcer, since those need prompt attention.
