Chemical Peel

Skin feeling dull, uneven, or just a bit tired lately? Our ZO Skin Health medical-grade chemical peel gently lifts away the dead, dulling surface layer, so brighter, smoother skin can come through. It's about a 60-minute visit, and for most people there's only light, short-lived flaking after.

  • About a 60-minute visit
  • Glow can show as skin renews over days
  • Light, short-lived flaking for most people
  • Minimal real downtime

What a chemical peel can help with

Here's where it shines

dull tired looking skin

Dull, tired-looking skin

If your skin's lost a bit of its glow, a layer of dead, dulling cells is often part of the picture. Easing that away can help fresher, brighter skin come through.

Treatments+

Our ZO medical-grade peel gently exfoliates the surface so newer skin can surface. A lot of people notice a healthier glow over the days that follow, though how much can vary person to person.

Causes+

Sun, stress, sleep, and the years all slow down how fast your skin renews itself, so dead cells linger and dullness builds.

Day 1-3 · skin settling

The visit takes about 60 minutes. Skin can feel a touch tight or look slightly pink for a day or two, which usually settles fast. We'll send you home with simple aftercare and SPF so your skin stays happy.

Light flaking

Day 3-7 · surface renews

Over the next few days, a lot of people get some light flaking or peeling as the old surface lifts away. It's usually mild and short-lived. Let it do its thing, no picking, and keep moisturised.

The glow

Week 2+ · brighter, smoother

Once the flaking settles, fresher skin comes through, so tone can look more even and skin can feel smoother and brighter. We'll chat about a series if you're after a bigger change.

Why clients choose us

Real care from a team that gets it

At Real Beauty Rx, you're looked after by an experienced team of nurses, aestheticians, and skin specialists who genuinely care about how you feel, not just how you look. Warm, honest, and zero judgment, every single visit.

Your treatment is performed by Natasha Grbesa, our Clinic Lead and Medical Aesthetician, with medical oversight from Jennifer Holman, NP. Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner and Chair of APANS with over 14 years in medicine. We keep it gentle, explain as we go, and never rush you.

We look at your skin type and how reactive it tends to be before any peel is planned, so your formula and depth are built around you. All treatments follow Ontario's medical oversight rules.

Our whole vibe is healthy, glowing skin. We want you to feel fresher and more confident, while still looking completely like you.

What the Beauty Club says

A few words from our Innisfil and Barrie clients.

Natasha has completely mastered the art of combining a results-driven medical treatment without sacrificing the relaxation of a traditional facial treatment. Instead of just waiting around during masks or product activations, she uses that time to melt away every ounce of tension you are holding by adding scalp and shoulder massages. I left with glowing, deeply treated skin and my mind and body super relaxed.

Good questions

Your chemical peel questions,
answered

Everything you might be wondering before your first visit. Still curious about something? Just ask us.

Honestly? Not much. Most people feel a mild warmth or a light tingle while the peel works, and it settles quickly. Our team keeps you comfortable the whole time, and if anything feels off, just tell us and we'll adjust.

Plan for about 60 minutes. That includes a proper cleanse, prep, the peel itself, and time to go over your aftercare so you head out knowing exactly what to do next. We never rush you through it.

For a lot of people, yes, but it's usually light flaking rather than dramatic peeling, and it tends to show a few days after. How much you peel can vary person to person and depends on the peel we use, so we'll tell you what to expect for your skin.

Not much. Skin can look a little pink or feel tight for a day or two, then some light flaking over the following days. You can usually carry on as normal, just go gentle on your skin and keep up with SPF.

A lot of people notice a fresher glow once the flaking settles, usually within a week or two. Tone and texture changes tend to build gradually, often over a short series of peels. Results vary, which is why we check in along the way.

It depends on your skin and your goals. Some people do a short series a few weeks apart for a bigger change, then come back now and then to maintain. We'll map out the right spacing for you at your consult.

We use ZO Skin Health medical-grade chemical peels, and we choose the formula and depth based on your skin type and concerns. We'll tell you exactly what we're using and why before we start.

Often, yes. We have gentler options and we always personalize the peel to how reactive your skin tends to be. Your provider assesses your skin first, so we can keep it comfortable. If a peel isn't right for you, we'll be honest and suggest something better suited.

It can for many people. Resurfacing the surface layer can help soften discolouration and even out tone over time. It usually works best as a series, and we'll always pair it with SPF advice so your results can hold.

For a lot of people, yes. We can choose a formula suited to breakout-prone skin to help clear congestion and refine the look of pores. Consistency over a few visits is where it tends to help most.

Medical-grade peels have been used safely for many years when they're done by trained professionals. Our team assesses your skin first, chooses the right depth for you, and works under the medical oversight Ontario requires. We'll go over the details and any questions at your consult.

We usually ask you to skip makeup for the rest of the day so your skin can settle. After that, most people are fine to ease back in, but we'll give you a clear timeline based on the peel you had and how your skin responds.

Often, yes. Lots of our clients pair a peel with facials, microneedling, or other skin treatments for a balanced result. We'll map out what makes sense for you and the right order to do things, with no pressure to add anything you don't want.

Our ZO Skin Health medical-grade chemical peel is priced on our Jane menu. If your plan calls for a series or a different formula, we'll confirm the full cost at your consult before anything starts, and Beauty Club members get member pricing.

We do! Our clinic is in Innisfil, right between Barrie and the rest of Simcoe County, so we see lots of clients from Barrie, Bradford, and beyond. Easy to get to, free parking, and a warm welcome every time.

You're so welcome here. A ton of our peel clients are first-timers. We take it slow, explain everything, start gentle, and only go ahead when you feel ready. No judgment, ever.

A peel is not right for everyone on any given day, and that is okay. We will ask you to wait if your skin is currently broken out, raw, sunburned, or dealing with eczema, and if you get cold sores we may start you on a preventive medication first. Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a history of keloid scars, or if you recently took Accutane, because those all change what is safe for you. Deeper skin tones can be more prone to dark marks afterward, so we choose the peel and the strength with that in mind. The consultation is where we sort all of this out.

Expect some redness, a tight or slightly stingy feeling, and then flaking or peeling over the next few days. How much you peel depends on the peel we chose for you. Please let it shed on its own and do not pull at it, and keep sunscreen on, because fresh skin burns easily. Call us if you see darkening or light patches that linger, any oozing or crusting that looks like infection, or a cold sore, so we can guide you. Most people are back to normal within about a week.
