What GLP-1 weight management can help with

Here's where it can help

constant cravings and food noise

Constant cravings and food noise

If your day feels like one long negotiation with snacks, you're so not alone. For a lot of people, GLP-1 support can quiet that background food noise so eating feels easier to manage.

Treatments+

A GLP-1 program works with your body's own appetite signals, so for most people hunger and cravings can settle. We build the plan around your health, never a one-size-fits-all template.

Causes+

Hunger hormones, stress, and habit loops all push the cravings, which can make portion control feel like a daily uphill battle.

What the Beauty Club says

A few words from our Innisfil and Barrie clients.

Natasha has completely mastered the art of combining a results-driven medical treatment without sacrificing the relaxation of a traditional facial treatment. Instead of just waiting around during masks or product activations, she uses that time to melt away every ounce of tension you are holding by adding scalp and shoulder massages. I left with glowing, deeply treated skin and my mind and body super relaxed.

It's a medical weight management program that works with your body's own appetite signals to help support steady, sustainable progress. It's not a crash diet or a quick fix. It starts with a real consult, a medically assessed plan, and ongoing support the whole way.

It starts with the GLP-1 Treatment Plan consult. We review your health history, talk through what you've tried, and run a medical assessment to see if GLP-1 is a fit for you. If it is, we'll map out a plan and confirm program pricing before anything begins.

The GLP-1 Treatment Plan begins with a consult where your provider reviews your health history. Your full program pricing depends on your individual plan, so we confirm it at your consult once your provider has reviewed your health. We bill transparently and Beauty Club members get member pricing. No surprises.

It means our Nurse Practitioner reviews and approves your plan before you start, to make sure GLP-1 is appropriate and safe for your health and history. Nurse Practitioners in Ontario are qualified to assess and prescribe, and we only move forward once it's confirmed to be the right fit for you.

Many people see steady progress with a supported GLP-1 program, but results vary and we can't promise a specific outcome. That's why we assess you first, set realistic expectations together, and check in regularly to see how you're responding.

Some people notice appetite and cravings starting to settle in the first week or two, while progress on the scale tends to be more gradual over the following weeks. Everyone responds a little differently, which is why we track it with you along the way.

When it's appropriate for you and overseen properly, GLP-1 medications have been used as part of medical weight management for many people. Your plan is medically assessed first, and our team works under the medical oversight Ontario requires. We'll go over the details and any questions at your consult.

GLP-1 medications (the semaglutide class) can come with side effects, most commonly mild digestive ones like nausea, which is why your dose starts low and increases gradually. They vary, and your provider goes over all of it with you before you start. Our regular check-ins mean we can adjust your plan if you need it, so you're never on your own with it.

Not necessarily, and that's exactly why we start with a medical assessment. We look at your health history and goals to see if it's a good fit. If it's not the right option for you, we'll be honest about that and talk through other ways we can help.

A GLP-1 program adds medical support to help with appetite and cravings, alongside sustainable habits, rather than relying on willpower alone. For a lot of people who've struggled with diets that never stick, that extra layer of support can make steady progress feel more doable.

We build in regular check-ins because that ongoing support is a big part of what helps the progress hold. We'll set a rhythm that works for your schedule and adjust as you go. You'll always know when your next visit is.

Often, yes. Lots of our clients pair their wellness plan with treatments like B12 or our NAD+ and Lipotropic wellness injections for an added boost. We'll talk through what makes sense for you and the right way to combine things, with no pressure to add anything you don't want.

You're so welcome here. A ton of our clients are doing this for the first time. We take it slow, explain everything in plain language, answer every question, and only start when you feel ready. No judgment, ever.

Absolutely. Plenty of our clients are guys working on their weight and metabolic health. We build the plan around your health and goals, and keep every visit just as warm and judgment-free.

We check in regularly exactly so we can catch this. If your plan isn't giving you the support you hoped for, your provider can adjust it or talk through other options. We'd rather be honest and rework the plan than keep you on something that isn't a fit.

We do! Our clinic is in Innisfil, right between Barrie and the rest of Simcoe County, so we see lots of clients from Barrie, Bradford, and beyond. Easy to get to, free parking, and a warm welcome every time.

A GLP-1 is not right for everyone, and that is exactly what the assessment is for. Some people should not take it at all. This includes anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone who has had an allergic reaction to one of these medications, and anyone with a personal or family history of a rare thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma or a condition called MEN 2. There are also health histories where we simply take extra care and decide together, like a past problem with your pancreas or gallbladder, stomach conditions that slow digestion, kidney concerns, or diabetes managed with insulin or certain other medications. You do not have to sort out which group you are in on your own. Our nurse practitioner reviews your full health history and current medications, confirms whether a GLP-1 is a safe fit for you, and only then decides whether to prescribe. If it is not the right choice, we will tell you honestly and talk through other options.

The most common side effects are stomach related. Many people feel some nausea, and you may also have vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, less appetite, or feel more tired than usual. For most people these effects are mild and tend to ease over time. This is one reason we start you on a low dose and raise it slowly over several weeks. Going slowly gives your body time to adjust and helps keep those stomach effects manageable. There are also less common but more serious problems to watch for, and we want you to know the signs so you can act early. Please contact us or seek medical care if you have severe or lasting stomach pain that may spread to your back, signs of a gallbladder problem, or symptoms of dehydration from a lot of vomiting or diarrhea. If you have diabetes and take insulin or certain other medications, low blood sugar is also possible, and we will talk through that with you. You will not be doing this alone. We review how you are feeling as your dose changes and adjust the plan when you need us to.

For the right person, GLP-1 medications have been studied in large clinical trials and are approved by Health Canada for weight management. That said, no medication is completely without risk, and being safe really depends on your own health history. Most side effects are mild stomach ones that settle over time, and there are rarer but more serious risks we screen for before we ever prescribe. That screening is the important part. Our nurse practitioner assesses whether a GLP-1 is a safe fit for you, prescribes only when it is appropriate, and stays involved as your treatment continues. This page is here to help you understand the medication, and it is not a substitute for that assessment. If you are curious whether it could be a good option for you, the next step is a conversation with us.

Depending on your assessment, we prescribe from the GLP-1 class. This includes semaglutide, the medication in Ozempic and Wegovy, and tirzepatide, the medication in Mounjaro and Zepbound. Your Nurse Practitioner recommends the option that best fits your health history and goals, and explains how it works before you start.

Eligibility is a medical decision we make together, not just a number on the scale. As a general guide, GLP-1 weight management is usually considered for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher alongside a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes. Our Nurse Practitioner reviews your full health picture and confirms whether it is a safe and appropriate fit for you.

GLP-1 medication for weight management is generally not covered by OHIP, so it is usually an out-of-pocket cost. Some private or workplace drug plans may cover part of the medication, so it is worth checking with your plan. We are always upfront about your program and medication costs at your consult, so there are no surprises.
