Skin Texture & Pores

Smoother, fresher skin you can feel.

You wash your face, you do the serums, and the skin still feels a little rough to the touch. Pores look bigger than they used to, makeup catches in the texture, and everything reads kind of dull and tired in photos. You're so not alone, and the good news is there's a lot we can do to help smooth and refresh things, gently and over time.

CONCERN & CAUSES

Why Texture & Pores Show Up

Rough texture, larger-looking pores, and dullness usually come down to a few things working together: slowing collagen, slower cell turnover, and oil that stretches the pore walls. Each one likes a slightly different approach, and most of us have a mix.

01

Enlarged Pores

Pores can look bigger when oil and dead cells build up and stretch the walls, especially around the nose and cheeks. They don't shrink permanently, but their look can soften a lot for most people with collagen support.

02

Rough Texture

That sandpapery, uneven feel often comes from a slow turnover of surface cells. When they pile up instead of shedding, the skin reads bumpy and catches the light, which resurfacing can help smooth over time.

03

Dullness

Tired, flat-looking skin is usually a turnover thing too. Older surface cells dull the glow, and gently encouraging fresher skin to surface can bring back some brightness for a lot of people.

04

Mixed Texture

Most people have a few of these at once, plus a little congestion here and there. That's why one tool rarely does it all, and we usually layer a couple of approaches to suit your skin.

Treatment Benefits

Layered options for smoother skin in Innisfil

Texture and pores rarely respond to just one thing. Your provider checks your skin and what's driving it first, then we combine collagen-building and resurfacing so each step builds on the last. No pressure, just a real plan that fits your skin.

Microneedling

Microneedling

Controlled micro-channels that trigger your skin's repair response and collagen remodelling.

SylfirmX

SylfirmX

RF microneedling that delivers radiofrequency energy at controlled depths to rebuild collagen below the surface.

Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

A clinical-grade peel that lifts dull, uneven surface cells and refines tone and texture.

How to protect your skin after treatment

Resurfacing and collagen work refine your skin over a series, but fresh skin is sensitive and new collagen takes weeks to settle. These simple habits keep your barrier happy and protect every bit of progress.

Cleanse Gently

Cleanse Gently

Use a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser with lukewarm water and a soft touch. It keeps treated skin calm while it recovers, without stripping your barrier.

Treat Texture Daily

Treat Texture Daily

Once your skin settles, a retinol can support the same turnover we started in clinic. Build it in slowly, and keep it consistent rather than aggressive.

Hydrate the Barrier

Hydrate the Barrier

A strong barrier holds results and handles treatment better. Layer a hyaluronic acid serum under your moisturiser to keep skin plump and resilient between sessions.

Skip the Scrubs

Skip the Scrubs

It's tempting to scrub rough texture away, but harsh exfoliants can set you back while your skin is remodelling. Lean on soothing, hydrating masks once or twice a week instead.

Protect Daily

Protect Daily

Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, reapplied every couple of hours outdoors, is a non-negotiable on treated skin. Sun on healing skin can dull it and slow your results.

FAQ

Common questions about
texture and pore treatment

Honestly, pores don't shrink permanently, but their look can soften a lot for most people. Collagen-building treatments support the pore walls and refine the surface, so pores read smaller over time. We'll always be honest with you about what's realistic before we start.

It depends on what's driving your texture and pores, which is exactly what your provider checks at your consult. For a lot of people it's a combination, like microneedling or SylfirmX for collagen plus a peel to brighten and resurface. We'll map it out together.

Most people see the best results from a series rather than a single session, often a few spaced a few weeks apart. The exact number depends on your skin, and we'll give you a clear plan at your consult.

Usually just a day or a few of redness or light flaking, depending on the treatment and how deep we go. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect so you can plan around it. Daily SPF afterward is a must.

Most people find it very manageable. We use numbing where it helps and keep you comfy the whole time. If you're nervous, just tell us and we'll go at your pace.

Some brightness can show up pretty quickly after a peel, while texture and pores keep refining as collagen rebuilds over weeks to months across a series for many people. Results vary, and we'll check in along the way to make sure you're tracking nicely.
