We ask you to skip makeup for the first 24 hours so your skin can settle and stay clean. After that you can ease back in, and we'll always send you home with clear aftercare so you know exactly what to do.

It shouldn't, but timing matters. We treat skin that isn't in an active flare, since working over fresh breakouts isn't ideal. If your acne is still active, we'll chat about getting it more settled first, sometimes alongside other treatments.

Yes, and we go through this with you before we book. It is best to wait if you have an active breakout, a cold sore, an open area, or any infection where we would be treating, until your skin has settled. We also ask about a few things in your history: keloid or raised scars, eczema or psoriasis in the area, and whether you have taken Accutane recently, since your skin needs time to heal well first. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we will hold off for now. Because our Sylfirm X uses radiofrequency energy, we cannot treat over a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, or over metal implants in the treatment area.
